Architecture of Wings

is an image collection of insect wings with filigreed structures.

The two dragonflies that inspired this series were perched on a windowsill, their overlapping wings creating rich, complex geometries. They were released, and images in this series were later made with wings  harvested from found, no-longer-living  insects, primarily within the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
